Softube Bass Amp Room
Softube Bass Amp Room VST RTAS v1.0.2 - AiR
Distortion / Overdrive / Amp
$199
Bass Amp Room was designed to handle all your bass amp needs, from dirty rock to modern clean, keeping two equally important
goals in mind. The first was to give the user the best possible sound quality. The latter was to create an intuitive plug-in which
allows for a really fast work flow. Time is money, but cutting down on time shouldn't mean you have to accept poor results.
Bass Amp Room consists of a model of a classic bass amplifier, three distinctive speaker cabinets with click-and-drag mics, and
a blendable DI section with tone controls and a limiter. That's it. And it's all you need to create a unique signature sound - the
strength lies in the ease of use of the individual blocks and the huge range of sounds these can produce when combined.
In short, Bass Amp Room is all about getting a sound you know you can trust, and
getting it quickly, from a plug-in you don't need a degree in computer science to handle.
Features:
- Authentic amp and cabinet modeling.
- Three versatile and good-sounding cabinets.
- Designed for excellent results and fast work flow.
- Built-in one-knob limiter in D.I. panel.
- Easy to use mix and D.I. panel.
- Flexible & continuous click-and-drag mic positioning.
- Fully automatable parameters.
- 3-D rendered photo-realistic user interface.

Softube Metal Amp Room
Softube Metal Amp Room VST RTAS v1.1.5 - AiR
Distortion / Overdrive / Amp
$179
Metal Amp Room was designed to bring you the most brutal, evil and aggressive sound that is possible to squeeze out of your
DAW. It was co-developed with Patrik Jensen (The Haunted) and tailored to his needs. The continuous mic placement
from Vintage Amp Room is back, but this time with twin mics with adjustable stereo panning. Get a huge stereo sound
with complex adjustable phasing effects, a plain old one-mic-right-against-the-cone, or anything in between. The cabinets
were measured in the In Flames studio (previously known as Studio Fredman) by Tue Madsen and Patrik Jensen.
Focusing on usability and sound quality, this is a plug-in that is proud not to include a gazillion amps, effects racks, patch
cords, or a blow-dryer. Just two channels, two cabinets, two mics per cabinet, and a wickedly fast noise gate for palm
mute galore. Every setting is a setting that will sound good, so it's almost impossible to get a useless sound. Metal
Amp Room is a real workhorse, a plug-in that will handle all your metal needs without ever getting in your way.
Features:
- A brutal metal amp with a raw and authentic sound.
- Program-dependent guitar noise gate.
- Two cabs with two mics per cabinet.
- Easy to use balancing stereo mic preamp for balancing the two mics.
- Flexible & continuous click-and-drag mic positioning.
- Fully automatable parameters.
- 3-D rendered photo-realistic user interface.
- Compatible with all effects that work with real amps.
Softube Vintage Amp Room
Softube Vintage Amp Room VST RTAS v1.0.8 - AiR
Distortion / Overdrive / Amp
$429
Straightforward and simple, Vintage Amp Room emulates three carefully selected guitar amps
in a complete studio set-up with speaker cabinets and fully flexible microphone positioning.
Vintage Amp Room has none of the added gadgets or weird-sounding presets sometimes found
in simulation software. Focusing on quality and accuracy, it simulates amps withsounds that
are timeless and authentically raw. The three amps range from pleasant guitar sounds
with warm yet intense power amp distortion, through clean, crisp and clear, but also
warm, thick and punchy, all the way to edgy, distorted rock 'n' roll sounds.
Vintage Amp Room is easy to use for live performances and recordings, as well as
for re-amping and last-minute tweaking. The goal is not to give you a pre-produced,
ultimate guitar sound, but to provide you with the ultimate tool to create your
own. Because after all, only you know exactly what sound you want.
Main features:
- Three great-sounding vintage amp models that handle like real amps.
- Raw & authentic sound.
- Flexible & continuous click-and-drag mic positioning.
- Fully automatable parameters.
- 3-D rendered photo-realistic user interface.
- Compatible with all effects that work with real amps.
Softube FET Compressor
Softube FET Compressor VST RTAS v1.0.3 - AiR
Dynamics (Compressor / Limiter)
$279
When creating FET Compressor, Softube set out to make the most accurate emulation of the most famous solid state compressor,
and much effort has been spent modeling the real hardware to make sure that the emulation sounds exactly the same.
Every single part of the simulation contributes to making this piece unique. The extremely fast attack, all the
subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) distortion that comes from the different parts of the compressor
and the extremely careful way the signal is handled and conditioned throughout the signal chain.
On top of that Softube have added some useful features that still have that analog sound - but features that
would've been hard or even impossible to implement with analog electronics - such as the continuous ratio,
parallel compression, detector filtering and lookahead. That way you will be able to get the best of two worlds.
Features:
- Modeled analog compressor, input and output stages. Modeled everything.
- Modeled "All buttons in" mode.
- Continuous ratio (even between 20:1 and ALL).
- Super fast attack time (just like the original).
- Sweet input and output stage distortion.
- Parallel compression.
- Detector low and high cut filters.
- External side chain.
- Lookahead.
- Stereo with synchronized gain reduction.
- Very CPU friendly.
Softube Passive-Active Pack VST RTAS v1.0.2 - AIR
EQ
$199
The Passive-Active Pack is a collection of three very different equalizers, each with its own character and quirks.
The equalizers contain emulations of real workhorse equalizers, used on thousands of recordings from past to present:
- Passive Equalizer is a three-band EQ with a clear and open sound, a warm low end and sparkling top.
- Active Equalizer is Passive's counterpart with three fully parametric bands and a tight and focused sound.
- Focusing Equalizer is an untraditional take on the EQ concept where the low, mid and high
bands move automatically and musically inrelation to the high and low cut filters. It also
features filters from the Passive and Active EQs as well as a one-knob Saturation control.
All equalizers are modeled using the same technology Softube used to create the
FET Compressor and the Brilliance Pack plug-ins for Abbey Road Plug-ins.
General Features:
- Authentic component modeling.
- Fully automatable parameters.
- Output gain and output metering.
- 3-D rendered photo-realistic user interface.
- Available for VST, AU and RTAS compatible hosts.
Passive Equalizer Features:
- Three bands with a wide and open sound.
- Treble control without any "digital harshness".
- Warm low end and a sparkling top.
Active Equalizer Features:
- Tight and focused sounding filters.
- Low- and High-cut.
- Three parametric bands with:
- Selectable gain in 2dB steps (-/+ 16 dB).
- Selectable frequency with overlapping, but non-interfering, bands (50-500 Hz, 380Hz-3.8kHz, 1.8-18kHz).
- Select between a sharp or blunt peak (Q) for each band.
Focusing Equalizer Features:
- Built-in one knob saturation with metering.
- Selectable saturation type.
- Choose between Passive or Active EQ character.
- Three-band EQ that automatically and musically changes with Low and High Cut.

Softube - Acoustic Feedback
Softube - Acoustic Feedback VST RTAS 1.0.5 - AiR
Distortion / Overdrive / Amp
$99
Acoustic Feedback is a realistic simulation of guitar feedback. After years of hard work spent on perfecting every
detail of Vintage Amp Room, the developers at Softube felt obliged to create what they felt was the missing link
between a real amp and an amp plug-in. The result is a simple and intuitive plug-in which emulates the
feedback effect which occurs between the guitar and the amplifier.Bundled with a special edition
of White amp* from Vintage Amp Room, Acoustic Feedback aims to "rock your socks off".
Features:
- Realistic simulation (physical modeling) of guitar feedback.
- Fully responsive to vibratos, bends, slides, tremolos, etc.
- Simple user interface: Control amount of feedback with the Feedback knob, and the sensitivity with a Tolerance knob.
- Compatible with foot controls via MIDI
- Includes a stripped*, but useful, version of the White amp from Vintage Amp Room.
* Due to some careless handling, only the Master Volume and Mic position controls
remain intact. All other pots have been broken off. Or something like that...

Softube Tube Delay
Softube Tube Delay VST RTAS v1.0.5 - AiR
Primary Type Delay / Echo
Price (MSRP) $99
The Tube Delay isn’t an emulation of one particular piece of gear, but the tube part is emulated after real tubes.
The way it is constructed is a little different than other software delays you might be
familiar with, so before we dig into the sound, let’s have a look at how to use it.
The GUI is cleaverly layed out, almost like two channels, with the green line showing the flow of the direct signal, and the red showing
the delayed signal. They both begin with a drive knob each. The delay section features delay time (can be set to sync host or not)
and feedback. As you can see on the picture, the direct and the delay both meet up in a mix knob and an EQ section.
I don’t know what Softube intended with this design, but for me it almost begs to be used as an insert directly on the track, instead of
being used on an aux like I would normally set up a delay. You see, because of the drive knob, you can really grit up the direct signal.
In fact, you could use it just to add some hair to the signal without using the delay at all. The delay can of course also be made rather
hairy with the drive knob, and downright brutal with the help of the feedback. It’s obvious that Softube has borrowed from their ealier
products for this one. In case you wonder, yes, you can make the weird tape delay effects by changing the delay in real time.
While Tube Delay isn’t an emulation of a tape delay (after all, it isn’t called ‘Tape Delay’), there’s something about it which begs
to be compared to Massey’s tape delay emulation TD5, which I’ve been caught claiming several times being my favorite sounding
delay. I think they’re both what I would call “gritty” delays, with the Softube one being able to be driven to the more brutal side.
I still think I personally prefer the TD5 sound, but the Tube Delay can definitely hold it’s own. I think it’s a very worthy delay,
grit monster, and hair-grower to complete your delay collection and you should check it out if you’re looking for a new delay.
Features:
- Up to 1000 ms delay.
- Sync tempo to host.
- Vintage style passive EQ.
- Tube preamp simulation.
- Gritty, distorting feedback.
